1. Product Overview

ARALDITE® AV 144-2 / HARDENER HV 997-1 is a two-component, ready-to-use structural epoxy adhesive designed for bonding ceramic, glass, metal, and plastic substrates. It offers high strength, excellent toughness, chemical and environmental resistance, and multi-substrate adhesion. Its thixotropic, non-sag paste form makes it suitable for vertical applications and ensures precise application. The adhesive can be manually or robotically applied and cured to provide durable, high-performance bonds across a wide range of temperatures and environments.


2. Applications

  • Compatible Substrates: Ceramic, glass, metal, plastics.

  • Markets: Automotive & Transportation, Rail & Mass Transit.

  • Application Method: Surfaces must be degreased and pretreated (abrading or chemical etching). Mix resin and hardener in weight ratio 100:60 (volume ratio 100:100). Apply adhesive in 0.05–0.10 mm layers; assemble and secure immediately. Suitable for cartridges with mixers for automated dispensing.
