LOCTITE® SI 5460™ (also known as LOCTITE® 5460 Pink) is a one-component, oxime-based silicone sealant with a smooth pink paste appearance. It is thixotropic, reducing migration after application, and cures at room temperature (RTV). The product offers excellent resistance to automotive engine oils and is designed to withstand high joint movement, making it suitable for sealing applications in demanding environments. No mixing is required before use.
Sealing stamped sheet metal covers, such as timing covers and oil sumps.
Suitable for automotive applications requiring high oil resistance and flexibility under joint movement.
Can be used on substrates like mild steel, aluminum, Alclad, and zinc dichromate.
