1. Product Overview

Elan-tron® PU 4254 FR combined with Hardener PH 4900 is a medium-hard polyurethane casting compound recognized under UL 94 V0 (file E140720). It demonstrates excellent resistance to water, hydrolysis, chemicals, transformer oil, heating oil, and fuel. The system features low shrinkage, medium processing viscosity, good dielectric properties, and high adhesion. Classified as Insulating Material Class B (130°C), it complies with RoHS requirements and provides reliable electrical insulation performance.


2. Applications

This polyurethane system is specifically formulated for casting small and medium-sized transformers, ensuring durability and electrical stability. It is also well-suited for underwater pump applications such as aquarium and garden pumps, where hydrolysis and water resistance are crucial. The UL 94 V0 flammability compliance further supports its use in demanding electrical and electronic insulation environments.
