1. Product Overview

Micares® X1087BK R11/P978 is a two-component, flame-retardant polyurethane sealant designed for potting and encapsulation in electrical and electronic engineering. The system is solvent-free, flexible, and cures at ambient temperature or with thermal acceleration. It is UL 94 V-0 listed with an electrical RTI of 130°C. The resin is filled, degassed, and adheres well to metallic and non-metallic substrates, with low dielectric losses and excellent flame resistance. The formulation is RoHS compliant and provides durable insulation and mechanical stability.

2. Applications

  • Encapsulation and sealing of electrical/electronic components

  • Flexible insulation requiring flame retardancy and tracking resistance

  • Ambient and vacuum casting processes without preheating

  • Suitable for applications where UL 94 V-0 flame resistance is mandatory
