1. Product Overview

3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Polyurethane Reactive (PUR) Adhesives are one-component, moisture-curing urethane adhesives. They are applied warm and quickly form strong, durable bonds on a wide variety of substrates.

Key Features:

  • 100% solids, one-component system

  • Rapid strength build-up with variable set times

  • High strength and highly plasticizer-resistant

  • Broad substrate adhesion (wood, plastics, FRP, metal, glass)

  • Suitable for bonding heat-sensitive materials

Variants:

  • TE031 – Extrudable grade, fast set, ideal for plastics (e.g., polystyrene, polyacrylic)

  • TE040 – Low viscosity, fast set, for wood, plastics, metals, and glass

  • TS115 HGS – Standard grade, bonds wood, FRP, plastics, metals, glass

  • TS230 – Sprayable/extrudable, long set time, ideal for large-area plastics, aluminum, glass


2. Applications

  • Bonding wood, FRP, and engineering plastics (polystyrene, polyacrylic, ABS, PVC, polycarbonate)

  • Joining plastics to metal and glass (not recommended for metal-to-metal or glass-to-glass)

  • Assembly in furniture, automotive, construction, and composites industries

  • Large surface bonding where controlled set time (fast or extended) is required
