1. Product Overview
Araldite® 64-1 is a vinyl-phenolic based friction lining adhesive and primer, formerly known as Redux 64-1. It is a solution of vinyl-modified phenolic resin, suitable for bonding most types of materials in brake and clutch applications. When cured, it appears dark brown/black. It can be used in combination with Araldite® 70 primer and has been widely applied in the automotive industry for many years.
2. Applications
Brake and clutch bonding adhesive.
Can serve as a primer when diluted to lower viscosity.
Suitable for use with friction lining materials (asbestos-based and non-asbestos).
Applied by brushing, spraying, or roller coating.
Compatible with thermal curing between 150–230 °C under pressure.
Recommended for use with Araldite® 70 and Araldite® 71 in multi-step bonding systems.
