1. Product Overview

Araldite® CW 2122-1 used with Aradur® HY 2123 is a filled epoxy casting resin system designed for high-temperature curing. It provides excellent impregnation capability, strong dielectric performance, good thermal shock resistance, and reliable mechanical properties. The cured material is flame-retardant (UL 94 V-0 at 1.5 mm) and suitable for demanding insulation applications.


2. Applications

This system is widely applied in the manufacture of electrical components such as transformers and capacitors. It is suitable for casting and vacuum casting processes where high thermal stability, electrical insulation, and flame resistance are required.

3. Typical Properties

The resin-hardener system delivers stable processing with moderate viscosity, controlled gel time, and reliable curing cycles. When cured, it achieves strong mechanical strength, thermal stability in Class H, and robust electrical insulation. With good thermal conductivity, low water absorption, and resistance to tracking, it is a reliable material for electrical insulation systems exposed to heat and mechanical stress.
