1. Product Overview

Bectron® EP 5504 is a two-component cold-curing epoxy casting compound used with Hardener Bectron® EH 5909. It cures into a hard, thermally conductive, self-extinguishing (UL 94 V-0) moulding material. It offers high mechanical strength, good dielectric properties, adhesion to various substrates, and thermal class F (155 °C) performance. Post-curing at elevated temperature is optional to further enhance mechanical and thermal properties.

2. Applications

  • Encapsulation and casting of electrical and electronic components with high thermal loads.

  • Ideal for magnet coils, brake coils, lifting magnets, and similar devices.

  • Suitable for situations requiring high thermal conductivity, flame retardancy, and reliable mechanical strength.
