Bectron® EP 5504 is a two-component cold-curing epoxy casting compound used with Hardener Bectron® EH 5909. It cures into a hard, thermally conductive, self-extinguishing (UL 94 V-0) moulding material. It offers high mechanical strength, good dielectric properties, adhesion to various substrates, and thermal class F (155 °C) performance. Post-curing at elevated temperature is optional to further enhance mechanical and thermal properties.
Encapsulation and casting of electrical and electronic components with high thermal loads.
Ideal for magnet coils, brake coils, lifting magnets, and similar devices.
Suitable for situations requiring high thermal conductivity, flame retardancy, and reliable mechanical strength.
