1. Product Overview

Bectron® PL 4122 E BLF FLZ is a transparent polyurethane varnish based on urethane-modified alkyd chemistry. It offers low pin corrosion, fast curing (at room temperature or oven cure), and is lead-free, solvent-safe (no aromatic compounds), and RoHS compliant. It delivers superior thermal, dielectric, and chemical resistance while maintaining flexibility under thermal shock and PCB bending.

Available in three viscosity/solids grades for different application systems:

  • PL 4122-37 E BLF FLZ

  • PL 4122-40 E BLF FLZ

  • PL 4122-45 E BLF FLZ


2. Applications

  • Protective coating for PCBs in aggressive environments: automotive, marine navigation, industrial, corrosive gas.

  • Suitable for hybrids, SMDs, and discrete components.

  • Designed for safety-critical electronic systems.

  • Maintains dielectric and adhesion performance even under temperature cycling (-40 to +125 °C, >750 cycles).

  • Compatible with robotic and automated coating systems (spray, dip, select coat), as well as manual methods.
