Chemlok® 218GB is a one-coat adhesive designed for bonding castable and millable polyurethane elastomers to metals and rigid substrates. It is a solvent-based formulation of polymers and resins that complies with China’s GB33372-2020 VOC regulations. The product eliminates the need for a primer in most cases, reducing cost and labor, while providing strong environmental resistance against water, salt spray, and solvents. It offers flexibility in processing, tolerates prebake conditions, and can be combined with Chemlok® 219 primer for enhanced performance.
Bonding castable urethane and millable urethane to metals and rigid substrates.
Compatible with industrial molding and vulcanization processes for polyurethane elastomers.
Suitable for environments requiring strong resistance to moisture, chemicals, and salt spray.
Can be applied by spray, dip, brush, roll coat, or similar uniform coating methods.
Effective for use in conjunction with Chemlok® 219 as a primer for increased durability.

The adhesive provides reliable adhesion with minimal surface preparation and no agitation requirement. It dries in 60 minutes at room temperature or faster with heat, and extended baking at 121°C enhances cohesive strength. Shelf life is one year when stored properly at 21–27°C in unopened containers.
