Chemlok® 6100 is a black, solvent-based covercoat adhesive designed to bond a wide range of elastomers to metals such as cold-rolled steel and aluminum. Formulated with polymers, organic compounds, and mineral fillers, it provides excellent adhesion, film continuity, and strong resistance to salt spray and environmental stress. It can be applied by brush, spray, or dip, requiring only a single coat in most cases, and cures during the rubber vulcanization process.
Bonding elastomers (NR, IR, BR, SBR, NBR, IIR, CR, EPDM, CPE, CSM, Hytrel TPE) to metals.
Ideal for treated steel and aluminum surfaces.
Commonly used in combination with Chemlok® 205 or 207 primers.
Suitable for industrial use in demanding environments requiring salt spray resistance.

The adhesive is supplied as a ready-to-use liquid formulation that requires agitation to maintain suspension. It is stable for one year under controlled storage and develops bonding strength during the vulcanization stage without the need for additional curing.
