Chemlok® 6225 is a covercoat adhesive formulated to bond a wide variety of elastomers to metals. It contains dissolved organic polymers and dispersed fillers in a xylene/MIBK solvent system. The product provides excellent adhesion, particularly with soft NR compounds using semi-EV cure systems, and ensures strong environmental resistance against heat and salt spray. It can be applied by dip, spray, brush, or roll coat methods.
Bonding elastomers: NR, BR, IR, CR, SBR, NBR to metal.
Typically used with Chemlok® 205 primer for optimal adhesion.
Suitable for components exposed to heat and corrosive environments.
Applied by brush, spray, dip, or roll coat with controlled dry film thickness (15.2–20.3 µm).
