1. Product Overview

LORD CoolTherm™ EP-6252 is an epoxy curing agent formulated to work with a range of CoolTherm™ and LORD® epoxy resins, creating durable two-component systems. It features low viscosity for effective air release and void-free encapsulation, while curing to a semi-rigid structure with strong impact resistance. The product is supplied as an amber liquid and has a one-year shelf life when stored in a cool, dry environment at 25 °C in tightly sealed containers.

2. Applications

  • Electrical encapsulation and bonding applications.

  • Used in combination with CoolTherm™ or LORD® epoxy resins.

  • Suitable for applications requiring void-free encapsulation, reliable curing, and mechanical durability.

3. Typical Properties

Property Unmixed (As Supplied) Mixed (If Applicable)
Appearance Amber Liquid
Viscosity (cps @ 25 °C) 75
Specific Gravity 0.99

The hardener exhibits low viscosity, enabling easy mixing with compatible epoxy resins and effective air release during processing. Its specific gravity ensures consistent blending, and once cured with resins, it forms a semi-rigid, impact-resistant encapsulant. The product stability and controlled flow make it ideal for precision electrical bonding and encapsulation systems.
