1. Product Overview

CoolTherm® SC-1600 is a two-component, thermally conductive silicone gap filler formulated to provide efficient heat transfer for electronic applications while maintaining the inherent flexibility and durability of silicone systems. With low shrinkage, low stress, and strong resistance to thermal shock, high temperature, and humidity, it ensures reliable long-term performance. The material is based on an addition-curing PDMS polymer, which prevents depolymerization in confined spaces, and is UL 94 V-0 certified for flame retardancy.

2. Applications

• Gap filling in electronic assemblies requiring high thermal conductivity and environmental durability.

• Applications needing low stress on delicate components during cure.

• Use with handheld cartridges or automated meter/mix/dispense equipment (manual mixing not recommended).

• Suitable for room temperature cure (24 h at 25°C) or accelerated cure (30 min at 100°C).

• Ideal for environments requiring compliance with UL flame-retardant standards and resistance to harsh operating conditions.
