1. Product Overview

LORD CoolTherm® SC-305 is a two-component thermally conductive silicone encapsulant developed for electronic applications requiring efficient heat dissipation. It combines ease of processing (low viscosity, fast gel times, multiple cure options) with strong environmental resistance and electrical insulation. SC-305 is UL 94 V-0 flame-rated, exhibits low stress during curing, and provides good durability under thermal cycling.


2. Applications

  • Potting and encapsulating heat-generating electronic devices.

  • Medium thermal conductivity applications where cost-effective thermal management is required.

  • High-volume encapsulation using automatic meter/mix/dispense equipment.

  • Protective encapsulation in environments demanding thermal shock resistance and flame retardancy.
