DOWSIL™ 1-2577 Low VOC Conformal Coating

  • Brand Name: DOWSIL™ 1-2577 Low VOC Conformal Coating

  • Package Size: Available in 15 kg pails.

  • Shelf Life: 36 months from the date of manufacture.

DOWSIL™ 1-2577 Low VOC Conformal Coating is a one-part, translucent, medium-viscosity silicone resin solution designed to provide a tough, elastoplastic, and abrasion-resistant protective layer for electronic assemblies. This coating cures at room temperature without the need for ovens, and its formulation includes a UV indicator to facilitate automated inspection processes. Notably, it has a reduced volatile organic compound (VOC) content, making it a more environmentally friendly option compared to traditional conformal coatings.

Applications:

This conformal coating is suitable for use as a protective layer for both rigid and flexible circuit boards, as well as for printed wiring board (PWB) applications. It is particularly beneficial in scenarios where toughness and abrasion resistance are required, such as in modules that may be exposed to harsh environmental conditions.
