DOWSIL™ 7093 is a one-part, neutral-cure silicone adhesive/sealant with low modulus and high flexibility. It cures at room temperature when exposed to ambient moisture, forming a durable, non-sag elastomer. Based on an alkoxy cure system, the product offers easy application, good adhesion to many substrates, and maintains stability and flexibility across a broad service range from -50°C to +180°C. Its low modulus enables excellent movement capability, making it suitable for sealing and bonding applications requiring stress relief.
The adhesive/sealant is intended for general industrial sealing and bonding where a non-corrosive cure is critical. Typical substrates include glass, metals, and many engineering plastics, while adhesion can be improved with primers for more demanding surfaces.
DOWSIL™ 7093 balances ease of application with reliable mechanical performance. In the uncured state, it is a non-slump paste available in white, black, and gray, with medium extrusion rate and fast tack-free time. Upon curing, it delivers a moderately soft elastomer with strong elongation and low modulus, ensuring long-term flexibility. It also provides high movement accommodation and reliable adhesion across diverse substrates, even under thermal cycling.
