1. Product Overview

DOWSIL™ EE-1100 Black Encapsulant is a two-part silicone encapsulant designed for electronic protection. It cures at room temperature or with heat, producing a flexible elastomer without exotherm, solvents, or byproducts. The product is easy to process with a robust 1:1 mix ratio, offers repairability, and provides stress relief for sensitive components. Its excellent dielectric properties and high flexibility make it suitable for protecting devices under thermal and mechanical stress, while its room-temperature vulcanization (RTV) and optional heat cure allow process flexibility.

3. Typical Properties

This encapsulant demonstrates balanced processability, electrical insulation, and mechanical flexibility. In its uncured state, it provides low to medium viscosity for effective dispensing, with a short working time. Once cured, it forms a soft elastomer with good tensile strength, elongation, and reliable adhesion to aluminum. It ensures long-term dielectric stability with high volume resistivity, strong dielectric strength, and low dissipation factors. Designed for stress relief, it remains functional across a wide temperature range, ensuring reliability in harsh environments.
