Dymax Low-Shrink™ OP-81-LS is a UV/Visible light-curable epoxy adhesive specifically engineered for optical assembly. It is distinguished by its exceptionally low volumetric shrinkage and low coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE), ensuring stability during thermal cycling. The material is formulated as a one-component system, requiring no mixing, and features a dual curing mechanism: rapid UV curing complemented by low-temperature heat curing (80–85 °C). Designed to meet ASTM E595 outgassing standards, OP-81-LS is shipped and stored under cold conditions (1–5 °C) to preserve its integrity.
The adhesive is intended for high-precision optical assemblies, particularly where dimensional stability and minimal shrinkage are critical. Key applications include:
