1. Product Overview

Elan-tron® PU 4254 LV is a semi-rigid, low-viscosity polyurethane system designed for electrical insulation. When mixed with Elan-tron® PH 4900 in a 100:33 ratio, it cures to a tough casting compound with good dielectric performance, low shrinkage, and chemical resistance. The material offers excellent adhesion, low water uptake, and durability against oils, fuels, and hydrolysis. Classified as Insulation Class B (130°C), it is compliant with RoHS requirements and can be processed by hand or with mixing/dosing equipment.


2. Applications

  • Hand and machine casting of small to medium transformers.

  • Potting of underwater or garden pumps (due to hydrolysis resistance).

  • Encapsulation of components requiring good chemical and oil resistance.
