1. Product Overview

LOCTITE® 270™ is a high-strength, anaerobic threadlocking adhesive designed for the permanent locking and sealing of threaded fasteners. It prevents loosening and leakage caused by vibration and shock. The product cures in the absence of air between metal surfaces and is suitable for both active metals (e.g., brass, copper) and passive substrates (e.g., stainless steel, plated surfaces). It offers high-temperature performance and tolerance to minor oil contamination.

2. Applications

  • Permanent locking of threaded fasteners
  • Heavy-duty applications such as studs in motor housings, nuts on pump housings
  • Sealing applications for fittings
  • Suitable for use on steel, stainless steel, and brass
