Scotch® Electrical Stress Control Tape 2220 is a 30 mil thick, gray, single-sided tape designed to regulate voltage distribution in high-voltage cable terminations and joints. Manufactured with a plasticized PVC backing and mastic adhesive, it reduces electrical stress concentrations to levels consistent with continuous cables, thereby enhancing reliability. This stress-control tape operates continuously at 90 °C and withstands emergency overloads up to 130 °C. Fully RoHS 2011/65/EU compliant, it is often included in termination kits for superior dielectric performance.
