1. Product Overview

SYLGARD™ 170 is a two-part, black silicone elastomer supplied in a 1:1 mix ratio. It exhibits low viscosity, long working time, and versatile cure options at room temperature or with heat. The material provides moderate thermal conductivity, stress relief during thermal cycling, and flame resistance, meeting UL 94 V-0 and MIL-PRF-23586F standards for specific applications. It is approved for railway standards EN45545-2 (HL3). The elastomer cures without exotherm and requires no post-cure, allowing immediate use after processing. Its flowable nature ensures effective filling in narrow or complex geometries.
