1. Product Overview

tesa® HAF 8472 is a 60 µm heat-activated, double-sided thermosetting film composed of phenolic resin and nitrile rubber, with no backing and protected by a paper liner. Halogen-free and RoHS-compliant, it is non-tacky at room temperature and requires heat and pressure for activation. The tape provides very strong, elastic, and aging-resistant bonds with minimal oozing. Its thin adhesive layer ensures close contact between smooth surfaces, making it suitable for small bonding areas and long-term applications under heavy stress.

  • Bonding metal components (SUS or AL) to plastics such as PMMA, PC, or ABS.

  • Assembly of speaker parts in mobile phones.

  • Constructive bonding inside digital cameras.

  • Long-term applications under mechanical stress.
