1. Product Overview

Elan-tron® PU 4025 with Hardener PH 4900 is a soft, flexible polyurethane casting compound designed for high electrical insulation with low shrinkage. Its elastic nature minimizes internal stresses caused by temperature variations, material expansion, or contraction. The formulation ensures vibration damping, resilience under mechanical stress, and durability even at low temperatures down to –40 °C. The cured system maintains good adhesion, stable dielectric properties, and thermal resistance up to 115 °C, while also meeting RoHS compliance.

2. Applications

The system is ideally suited for casting mechanically sensitive electrical and electronic components. It reduces material stress from shrinkage or temperature changes, making it effective for use in sensors, automotive electronics, and components exposed to vibration or acceleration forces, such as impact drills. Its vibration-damping properties also support reliability in sensitive devices requiring long-term mechanical stability.
