1. Product Overview
3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Neoprene High Performance Rubber and Gasket Adhesive EC-1300 is a solvent-based, versatile contact adhesive designed for demanding aerospace and industrial applications. It delivers high immediate bonding strength, excellent heat resistance up to 148°C, and can be applied by brush, spray, or roller. Its quick-drying formulation allows a 10–20 minute open time, enabling efficient assembly processes while ensuring robust adhesion across a wide range of substrates.
2. Applications
This adhesive is primarily used in aircraft interiors for bonding rubber, gasket materials, foam, fabric, plastic laminate, wood veneer, and metals. It is also effective in industrial settings where strong, flexible bonds are needed for neoprene, SBR, butyl rubber, and other elastomers. Its versatility and high performance make it suitable for both aerospace and general manufacturing applications.
3. Typical Properties
The adhesive demonstrates excellent adhesion to diverse substrates with fast handling strength, minimal downtime, and superior durability under heat. It combines strong tack, flexibility, and resistance to environmental conditions. Available in EC-1300 and EC-1300L formulations, the product balances viscosity, solids content, and handling properties to meet different process requirements. Its solvent-based polychloroprene formulation ensures consistent bonding performance in both structural and interior assemblies.
