RTV31, RTV60, and RTV88 are high-temperature, two-part silicone rubber compounds supplied as a base and standard DBT (dibutyl tin dilaurate) curing agent. They cure at room temperature to form durable, resilient silicone elastomers. The products differ primarily in uncured viscosity, allowing for variable work times and cure rates by adjusting the curing agent type or concentration. These solvent-free compounds provide excellent adhesion (with primer), release properties, and retain elastomeric properties over a wide temperature range (-54°C to 260°C continuously; up to 316°C short-term).
High-temperature potting and encapsulation of electric motors and transformers.
Fabrication of rubber parts and molds for low-melting point metals.
Release applications, e.g., rubber rollers.
Thermal insulation in industrial applications.
